Graduated from Waseda University, School of Political Science and Economics, in 1987. Joined Mitsubishi Bank Corporation (currently named The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.). Graduated with Master of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management. Was involved IT-related strategy and product planning and development since the early stages of the Internet. In 2003, became General Manager, CEO Office Planning & Coordination Division of Diamond Computer Service, Co. Ltd. (currently Mitsubishi Research Institute DCS Co., Ltd.). In 2009, after serving as General Manager, Management Information Office, Corporate Planning Division at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, was appointed as General Manager of eBusiness and IT Initiatives Division in 2011. Served as a member of the Financial Services Agency Council of Experts (a study group regarding advanced settlement procedures) in 2014. In 2015, assumed the role of General Manager, Digital Innovation Division, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc.
In June 2017, took office as President of Jibun Bank Corporation, the largest mobile-only bank in Japan and the 50-50 joint venture between The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and a mobile network operator, KDDI.
